Flexibility for reservation cancellations and modifications are highly dependent on the type of reservation booked.
Please always refer to the cancellation policy for prior to and after booking a reservation.
If a reservation has a free or flexible cancellation policy, you can typically cancel at no expense or for a cancellation fee, provided you do so before the time and date delineated in the cancellation policy. Refunds will be processed automatically following the cancellation of a flexible booking. Note, however, that sometimes confirming the cancellation with suppliers may take a few additional days.
If a reservation is nonrefundable, it is not possible to cancel or modify your booking. Hotels may permit cancellations and waive the relevant fees under exceptional circumstances; however, this is at the discretion of the hotel.
Note also that hotels will not provide refunds for any reservations for which guests did not check-in.
If you would like to cancel your reservation, you can typically do so by following the directions on your confirmation email. If you have any trouble, please reach out to the supplier through which you placed your reservation. If that is FindHotel, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to include as many confirmation details as possible (guest names, confirmation/trip number, dates booked, etc.)
Once a reservation is booked, it can be difficult to make changes. The options for modifications are limited and they must be approved by the relevant hotel. If you've booked the wrong dates, it may be possible to adjust dates for an earlier or later period of the same duration, and it is more feasible in cases of free cancellation policies.
We highly recommend booking reservations with flexible cancellation policies, particularly while travel advisories and plans may be volatile.
